Description

2010 Damon Motor Coach Tuscany 4078 2010 Damon Tuscany 41 feet diesel pusher Freightliner chassis with Cummins engine. One owner, selling due to health issues. New upgraded blinds, new microwave, new range top, new toilet, sleep number queen bed, water softener system, windshield Magna sun shade, extra screening for awning, Fan-tastic fan, Self-aligning HD DirecTV Dish, slide toppers replaced, 2 AC units, Onan 2KW generator, Good Sam version of Rand McNally GPS, Splendide washer/dryer unit, antenna for satellite radio plus other items.   This Coach has been no issue to travel in for us. I am going to be transparent on the issues for the coach.  This coach is 15 years old and other than the list below, it is a good buy. 1. Water leaks in at the driver’s side of the front windshield under heavy/prolonged rain. All efforts to determine the source has been unsuccessful. 2. The retractable steps seem to have shifted its extended and retracted limit settings. Owner investigations have not successfully found how to adjust these settings. The steps do quickly settle into appropriate positions at both limits. 3. The driver’s two gauges for brake air pressure occasionally drop from their normal reading causing the low brake air pressure alarm if either indicator drops below 40 psi. Brakes remain fully functional and the parking brake does not engage which the system’s design would do if the actual brake air pressure were to drop. I.e., it seems to be a problem with the gauges rather than an air brake system problem. It is unnerving when it happens though. 4. The Dock Lights (white side lights to assist parking when dark) and “Aisle Lights” (interior lights along the main walkway) have ceased working. Electrical diagrams provided by Freightliner and Damon have proven insufficient to successfully troubleshoot. 5. The windshield wiper system initially would cause the original 10 Amp circuit breaker to temporarily open when the wipers were operated at high speed (no problem at low speed). Owner reported problem to Damon asking if replacement of the 10 Amp breaker with a 15 Amp breaker was acceptable. Damon did not give a clear answer to the question and instead, sent a complete wiper mechanism including windshield washer to the owner. Owner, an electrical engineer, had replaced his 10 Amp breaker with a 15 Amp breaker and found that addressed the temporary breaker opening while wipers ran at fast speed, but was concerned whether the installed wiring and other parts were compatible with the change. Approximately one year later, Damon provided a recall notice on the wiper system to replace the 10 Amp breaker with a 15 Amp breaker. Since the owner had already done so and was the source of the recall, this vehicle never responded to the recall. The entire replacement wiper mechanism is being provided with the vehicle. 6. The main table surface finish is badly worn, including the leaves. Owner lived with it and intended to resurface the table but never did. 7. There is a cracked and patched ceramic tile in front of the refrigerator. Loose tiles were and are being provided with the vehicle to allow replacement when/if desired. 8. The OEM antenna is old and capable of receiving only analog TV signals. 9. HD (High Definition) TV is available from the satellite dish but its signal is sent only to the TV in the main salon; neither the bedroom TV nor the outdoor TV receive this signal. 10. Existing tires on the vehicle are old and worn and should be replaced soon. Located in Jackson, WY 83001 For more information, please call 833-265-6113 and mention ID 68101424
