The 2014 Kinze 4900 16-row MH planter is a top-of-the-line piece of equipment that has been meticulously upgraded to enhance performance and efficiency. With approximately 5,000 planted acres since being placed in service in 2015, this planter is in excellent condition and has been well-maintained. Key upgrades include STP sawtooth seed discs for better seed placement, a 300-gallon fertilizer tank with 2x2x2 fertilizer capability (allowing for up to 20 gallons per acre), and Martin row cleaners. The addition of Flo-Rite seed firmers allows for in-furrow fertilizer application, ensuring optimal seed-to-soil contact. Notably, the hydraulic oil tank was increased from 8 gallons to 28 gallons, effectively lowering operating temperatures and improving efficiency. The Kinze 4900 is capable of Multi Hybrid planting, enabling seamless transitions between different seed varieties without the need to stop for refills. It also offers the flexibility to plant beans from one hopper and corn from the other. Known for its superior seed placement, this planter offers both precision and versatility for a variety of planting needs.
