1996 Volkswagen Rialta Class C Motorhome
1996 (VW chassis 1995) Rialta FD Optional floor plan. In excellent condition and trip ready. Odometer shows 117,301 but a complete new engine was installed at 69,914 so it has 47,387 miles on the engine. New Atwood Air Command overhead coach air conditioner and new MaxXfan in shower. New transmission and engine mounts. Front and rear wheel bearings replaced with the old heavy duty ones. Two group 27 coach batteries, coach solenoid and engine battery replaced. Brake master cylinder and booster replaced. 215/70R15C Maxxis tires all around plus spare and aligned. Remote tire temperature and pressure sensor. Cab air conditioner and cruise control work fine. Transmission works good and has a cooler installed. New plugs and coil recently replaced. No rust on chassis.
Magic Chef microwave, Three burner gas cook stove, Combination electric Engel refrigerator/freezer, forced air furnace, electric driver and passenger seat from Town and Country, New Kenwood CD radio. Generator works. I have replaced the two single mattresses with a tall double mattress but the single mattresses are with it. 100 Watt solar panel with HQST MPPT controller. New BodySpa RV shower wand and kitchen and bath faucets. Corian kitchen countertop. I replaced the toilet with a bag system equipped with an electric exhaust fan. Complete set of Bentley manuals. The brake system and the radiator have been flushed.
Front weight is 3100 and rear 3200 with full fuel gas tank and 195# driver. It has a 5 cylinder engine and gets between 17 and 12 mpg. I drove it in the West Virginia mountains last year and it performed well. You do need to shift the automatic transmission down manually going up and down mountains. There were no heat problems with the external cooler.
The Rialta is 21 feet long so it parks the same as a car in parking lots. The full size rear window gives excellent visibility. Professionally painted two years ago, Titanium color, and clear coated. The ride is similar to a heavy passenger car.
